Exchange of fire between two groups of militants was reported from D Phaillian village in interior Churachandpur district of Manipur, official sources said on Friday.
The groups are Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) and United Socialist Revolutionary Army (USRA) at D Phaillian village yesterday, the sources said.
The gun battle lasted for about one hour but no casualty was reported, the sources said.
The militants escaped to the jungles when police forces arrived on the spot.
