Faliro Coastal Zone Olympic Complex

This will be the host to events such as the volleyball, beach volleyball, taekwondo and the handball and is part of the Faliro Coastal Zone reformation.

Location: Situated 24km south west of the Olympic Village on the coast

Competition Schedule: 14-24 August (Handball), 26-9 August (Taekwondo), 14-25 August (Beach Volleyball), 14-29 August (Volleyball)

This will be the host to events such as the Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Taekwondo and the Handball and is part of the Faliro Coastal Zone reformation, one of the largest and most significant Olympic Works in Attica.

The Complex is situated at the south of Athens and comprises three Olympic Venues, the Sports Pavilion, the Olympic Beach Volleyball Centre and the Peace Friendship Stadium.

The Olympic Beach Volleyball Centre is a new venue with a capacity of 10,000, while the 8,000 seated Sports Pavilion will host the Taekwondo and the Handball preliminaries.

Whereas the renovated Peace and Friendship Stadium will play host to Volleyball. The stadium has been host to various European and international sport championships as well as professional and commercial fairs.
