Fardeen Khan to make Qurbani sequel

Fardeen Khan has taken up the responsibility of realising his father’s cherished dream. He’ll be making the nayi Qurbani in collaboration with Sanjay Khan, who will also be directing it.

On a serious note, I was eagerly looking forward to the modern version of Qurbani, which Feroz Khan announced over a year ago. But the suave, sophisticated and classy Khan saab didn’t live to see his dreamfulfilled.

A condolence meet was held at Marriott hotel on Monday evening, to pray for Khan saab’s departed soul. And given that almost everyone in the industry would attend, I’m told an event management company, Wizcraft, was roped in to oversee the proceedings.

I’m informed that Fardeen Khan has taken up the responsibility of realising his father’s cherished dream. He’ll be making the nayi Kurbani in collaboration with chacha jaan Sanjay Khan, who will also be directing it. And while Fardeen himself will be stepping into dad’s shoes, his cousin Zayed will replay Vinod Khanna’s character. Now that’s what I’d call a family affair. Hmm.
