Farewell at Oriental

STUDENTS OF Oriental Institute of Science & Technology bade farewell to their seniors on the eve of farewell night “Accelerating Future Farewell - 2006” organised at the OGI auditorium.

Chief guest Dilip Mehra, Principal Secretary Technical Education, and Anurag Jain, secretary to Chief Minister, formally inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp and garlanding the portrait of goddess Saraswati.

On this occasion the junior students presented various cultural programmes. Nikita presented solo dance while Shashank Vimal and his group presented a lively group dance. Vishal, Ruchir and party danced to a tune from filmi number (Zara Jhoom Jhoom) while Suganda and party performed Punjabi dance.

Besides, the farewell songs by Pankaj and Abhishek a Rajasthani dance was also performed. After the cultural programme achievement awards were given to18 students of various departments.

On this occasion the Information Technology Department of Oriental Institute of Science & Technology released a book “Anovision-2006” based on the paper presentation of Netsavvy-200.
