The non-availability of feeder buses was a major issue for the residents of Indirapuram, Vaishali, Delta-colonies and Sahibabad for direct connectivity to the two Metro stations. DMRC officials expect around 40,000 passengers to use the section, as per its detailed project report.
The Ghaziabad district magistrate gave clear signals that district agencies, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), would be involved in provision of buses. Further, private players would also be involved for the same.
A feasibility study of routes and number of buses is presently underway by the regional transport officer (RTO).
