The first cutoff list of Delhi University might look like a 90 percenters’ show all the way but even those who have scored less need not lose heart. If you have scored between 80 and 90%, there still are a lot of openings for you.

While it might be difficult to do a B.Com. honours or pass course or Economics (honours), the most sought after courses from a top or even middle rung college, other courses are available for less than 90% at even the most reputed colleges.

Starting with the most popular course B.Com(H), you can study at Deshbandhu (85-87) or Moti Lal (E) (73-83), which are known for good commerce faculties, even if you have scored less than 90. Other good colleges are Acharya Narendra Dev College, Dyal Singh and Maharaja Agrasen.

There are lots of other options as well (see box). For B.Com(pass) you can get a chance at Kamala Nehru, Maitreyi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh (E), SGGS College of Commerce and SGND Khalsa, apart from all the colleges where you get B.Com(H) for less than 90%.

If you want to pursue Economics(H), one of the most sought after courses, some of the colleges to go for whose cut offs are below 90 are Daulat Ram, DCAC, Maitreyi and Kamala Nehru College.

Other options are ARSD, Deshbandhu, Dyal Singh, IP College, Janki Devi, Kalindi, Lakshmi Bai, Moti Lal, PGDAV, Rajdhani, Ram Lal Anand (E), Ramjas, Satyavati, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shivaji, SPM College, Shyam Lal and Zakir Hussain.
