Fifth seed Guillermo Coria of Argentina advanced to the fourth round of the US Open on Friday with a 7-5, 6-1, 7-5 victory.
Fifth seed Guillermo Coria of Argentina advanced to the fourth round of the US Open here Friday with a 7-5, 6-1, 7-5 victory over France's Gregory Carraz.
Coria will face Sweden's Jonas Bjorkman for a berth in the quarter-finals after Bjorkman ousted Slovakia's Karol Kucera in a five-set thriller that was halted by rain for more than 4 1/2 hours, then resumed for match point.

Coria won in two hours and 14 minutes, taking advantage of 41 unforced errors by Carraz while making only 14 himself.
