According to sources, the project, including the training institute, is worth R4.5-crore. The employees will be taught to act in a more efficient and effective manner when an emergency situation arises. Also, they will be taught how to bring the situation under control in a better way.

YK Garg, superintending engineer, Municipal Corporation Gurgaon said, “We have prepared the proposal. In this programme, the fire department staff will be imparted techniques to control exigencies in a better way. Though all the employees associated with the department are well trained, further skills are equally important.”

He added, “We have sent the proposal and are hopeful that things will move in a positive direction.”
