Chandhut police on Friday received a complaint from a man, an original resident of Santrampur in Godhra district, alleging that his daughter was gang-raped by five men.

Cops said that the complainant, while explaining the sequence of the incident, said that his wife and 15-year-old daughter were on their way to their rented house near Gochi Road in the evening of September 3 when five men appeared on the scene, held his wife hostage and then took turns to rape his daughter in an open area.

“The complainant said they had gone to a priest as their daughter was not feeling well for some time,” said a police officer investigating the case, adding, “While returning from Gopikhera, a biker had given them lift till a certain point but after that they were on their way home on foot when the incident is reported to have taken place”.

“The report says that the possibility of rape cannot be ruled out,” he said.
