Five powerful IEDs recovered in Jharkhand

Security forces today recovered five powerful IEDs near Jaranga village in Khunti district, a senior police officer said.

Each of the IED weighed about 25 kg, Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kaushik, told PTI here.

While one was planted near a road of the village, four others were hidden near the Jaranga river, he said.

Efforts were on to diffuse the explosives, which were recovered following a tip-off.
