The coach said there is no point in dwelling in the past and that they were looking forward to playing India on Thursday.

"I think it's important to understand that any complaint has to come from the New Zealand cricket board. What Stephen said was his own observation which was supported by Ricky Ponting as well," Ross said.

Even in the delayed start to the training session owing to late arrival of kits Ross chose to look at the positives. "We can't do anything about things beyond our control.

As soon as the kits arrived, we were ready to train. And it (the delayed arrival) helped us have a full session under lights something which India hasn't had."

Ross said the Pune match will be a huge motivator. "From a bad start we almost came close to beating the world champions. It was an outstanding effort, one which showed that we can.”
