"We have got some clues and officials from forensic department have examined the statue on Saturday morning", senior officials investigating the case told PTI on Saturday.

Only a thorough investigation would reveal how the statue was damaged, they said.

The chest and a hand of the statue outside the church was found damaged by the security guard on duty Friday night.
