A passenger was arrested at NSCBI airport after arriving from Bangkok on Saturday, with a forged stamp of the Immigration authorities on her passport.

Ukila Ben Patel (47), along with another woman, had gone to Bangkok from Mumbai on June 21 with an Indian passport. At Bangkok, they procured another passport with US visas. But on arrival at the US, they were sent back to Bangkok.
Thai authorities after consultation with the Indian Consulate in Bangkok, sent them back to Kolkata with their original passports on Friday.
Kolkata Immigration authorities freed one woman, but detained Patel after they discovered forged immigration clearance stamp of NSCBI Airport on her passport.
After checking records, the Immigration authority officials found no woman called Patel had passed through Kolkata on that date.
