Former president of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and industrialist Amitabha Palchoudhury has died.

He died on Monday evening.
Palchoudhary (78) was the chairman of BNCCI in 1977. He was also associated with several tea bodies such as Tea Research Association and was also the chairman of Siliguri Auction committee and Calcutta Tea Traders Association.
The son of Ila Palchoudhory and freedom fighter Amiya Palchoudhury, Amitabha Palchoudhary is survived by two daughters, one of whom, Nayantara, is the present BNCCI chairperson.
