Former BSP MP receives threat letter

A former Bahujan Samaj Party MP received a letter on Wednesday issuing threats and asking him to deposit Rs 50 lakh, police said.

According too DIG BP Jogdand former BSP MP from Bilhaur Lok Sabha seat Anil Shukla Warsi residing in Kidwainagar locality of the city had filed a complaint that he received a letter asking him to deposit Rs 50 lakh by January 20, 2010 or face dire consequences.

The letter, which was sent via speed post from Chakeri Gandhi Gram was written by Lucky, but did not mention to whom the money was to be given, police said adding that the address mentioned on the letter seems to be fake.
