Former 'Mr India' Rex Varghese allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house in Thrissur today, police said.

Former 'Mr India' Rex Varghese allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house here today, police said.

Body of the 34-year-old was found hanging at his house at Koratty near here this morning, they said.

Rex, a bachelor, won the 'Mr India' title in 2007 and worked in Railways for a short period. Presently he was unemployed.

Investigations are on to ascertain the reason of suicide.
