Four people killed in road accident in UP

Four people have been killed when a truck on Lucknow-Varanasi highway hit the jeep in which they were traveling.

Four persons were killed and two others seriously injured when the jeep in which they were travelling was hit by a truck on Lucknow-Varanasi highway, police said in Sultanpur on Saturday.

The accident took place on Friday night when the truck driver lost control and hit the jeep killing four persons on the spot, they said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical, they added.
