Eight bogies of a freight train on Wednesday derailed in Fursatganj area disrupting rail traffic on Pratapgarh-Lucknow section, officials said in Rae-Bareli.
The incident occurred Wednesday morning around 10 am when eight coaches of coal-laden freight train from Bihar to Punjab derailed in Fursatganj area, they said.
Though the exact cause behind the derailment was not known, senior officials have rushed to the spot, they said.
