State-run gas utility GAIL India Ltd said on Monday that it will invest Rs 2,500-3,000 crore next fiscal in laying pipelines and expanding capacity of its petrochemical plant.

The major pipelines to be implemnted next fiscal include the Dahej-Uran pipeline and Dabhol-Panvel pipeline, GAIL CMD P Banerjee old reporters on the sidelines of a gas summit.
Banerjee said the company will invest Rs 700 crore in expanding the capacity of its Pata Petrochemcial plant in Uttar Pradesh from 310,000 tonnes per annum to 450,000 tpa by December, 2006.
