On Thursday SSP Raja Srivastav attached Gopal Swaroop Vajpayee, sub-inspector, Cantonment police station to the police lines for his alleged negligence in duty. He also shifted three police sub-inspectors.
Raja said Vinod Upadhyaya gang had come into limelight recently and the gang members will be registered as an organised gang in crime record. He said when the name of other gang members would come into light, the same action will be taken against them. In a dramatic move on Thursday, BSP leader Vinod Upadhyaya, who is also accused of running a gang, levelled serious charges against state minister and senior SP leaders for providing shelter to the criminals in the incident.
He mentioned that Indrakesh Pandey, Sanjay Yadav, Guddu Yadav, Lal Bahadur Yadav had opened fire on Satyendra Singh and Repunjay Rai at PWD office on Tuesday, when they reached the office to get the tender form.
Talking to media persons, Upadhyaya said the father of diseased Satyendra Singh had given written complaints with named FIR but the local police registered the FIR against unidentified persons in a bid to provide shelter to the main accused. Vinod further said that cops were trying to give a shape of gang war to the killing of his two associates. Meanwhile, name of a hardcore criminal and former MLA from Bihar Rajan Tiwari has also come into light.Sources said that Rajan had warned Vinod Upadhyaya not to take the tender form, as he was interested in the project .
Name of a hardcore criminal Ajeet Shahi has also come into light and sources said he is the main accused. He is said to be the right hand of Rajan Tiwari. Shahi was also believed to be a close associate of notorious criminal Shriprakash Shukla.
