"Geelani sahib is doing well. He is fine. We appeal all his supporters not to pay heed to any rumour," Geelani's son in law Altaf Hussain Shah told the Hindustan Times.

The family is planning to shift him to Delhi after the fresh snowfall and dip in temperature induced restlessness to Geelani, who is suffering from chronic bronchitis.

The rumours about him being critical, was fuelled in the evening after all internet services stopped functioning. Apparently, collapse in power grid and snag in optical fibers are reason behind the internet black out.

Kashmir is experiencing heavy snowfall since Monday evening. It damaged power transmission lines at several places.
