Gender no bar for booze bash in city pubs
Many pubs and bars in Millennium City are organising special events for women who don't want to be left behind from enjoying some drinks. Divya Sethi reports.
Many pubs and bars in Millennium City are organising special events for women who don't want to be left behind from enjoying some drinks.
Discounts, festival offers and special ladies night-out are part of schedules at various pubs.
"Over the last few years, wine consumption among women has noticeably gone up. Vodka is one of the most preferred drinks. Martinis, Mojitos, Margaritas are also popular," said Sandipan Bose, manager, food and beverages, Fortune Select Excalibur.
Fortune Select Excalibur recently organised events like 3 MerryM's (Martinis, Mojitos, Margaritas) and 101 Maritini at its lounge bar Nostradamus for female guests.
Howzatt, a bar at Galaxy Hotel, is another favourite destination for women. Similarly, special nights for women are organised at Patio Clubs on Wednesdays at South City I and on Fridays at Nirvana Patio at South City II.
"Mindset of people has undergone a sea change. Consuming liquor is not a taboo any more. But what I have noticed that ladies are particular about the place and ambience," said Preeti Trehan, Patio Clubs.
