GenNext can wait: Sonia

Sonia said that there are certain compulsions in the coalition government which the young leaders are aware of.

When questioned about the absence of GenNext MPs in Sunday's Cabinet expansion, Sonia Gandhi promptly said that the younger generation could wait.

"They will have to wait," Gandhi retorted when asked as to why her son Rahul or Jyotiraditya Scindia were not included in the Cabinet.

The Congress President said that the young leaders had to work for the party before they could be accommodated into the Government.

"Moreover, we run a coalition government and there are certain compulsions, which our young leaders are aware of," she added.
