Raising the issue during Question Hour, Arif Aqueel of the Congress alleged bungling in Trust accounts running into crores. He alleged efforts were being made to protect the trustees concerned.

In his original query, Aqueel had sought to know about trustees looking after Kamali temple Trust affairs, annual income of the Trust, the mode of appointment of trustees and duration of their membership in the Trust.

Revenue Minister Kamal Patel said that answers to these questions could not be provided since the matter was sub-judice.
In his supplementary query, Aqueel asked the Minister whether the court had given sort of a stay on providing information about affaires of the Trust.

After the Minister replied in the negative, Aqueel alleged that fund of crores were bungled from the Trust account and demanded an inquiry by a House Committee into the matter. The Minister turned down the demand but later, the Speaker directed the Minister to hold an inquiry into the matter by an officer of the Principal Secretary rank.
