The opinion is unanimous – the Wendell Rodricks show on April 30th afternoon was the best we have seen during the Lakme India Fashion Week till the time of going to the press. The designer had real people (family and children of his friends in Delhi) walking down the ramp in his outfits along with the regular models. "I loved the show and was about life. He took his clothes and put them on real people who can be of any shape or size," said Queenie Dhody.

The show area was packed to the gills, with colourful whistles left on each chair for the audience to loudly show their appreciation. And with each model or person that came down the ramp, the cheering (and whistling) grew louder and more raucous.

Rodricks used bright colours like mehndi green, rani pink, acid yellow, kumkum red and peacock blue on flowing skirts, fluid dresses and flimsy tops for women and brightly coloured metrosexual jackets for men.

Malaika Arora Khan made two entrances to the beats of You Sexy Thing, and filled out the tight fuchsia skirt she was wearing very well. Another bomb-shell: Carol Gracias in a meter and half of fuchsia pink satin just draped around her that left her back completely bare. Very sexy!

Amrita Arora was also clapping hard at the end of the show. "I loved the clothes. The show had a very chilled out, holidaying-in-Goa kind of feel. I felt like I was at a party and not a show where everyone is expected to silently clap," said Arora. VJ Anusha, is also a fan of Wendell. "Apart from the clothes, I also loved the shoes, especially some of the boots," she said.
