A Vasbert Drakes delivery in the 13th over struck opening batsman Herschelle Gibbs in the face, breaking his nose. Gibbs was rushed to a nearby clinic.
Gibbs mistimed the stroke, allowing the ball - the last of the over - to penetrate the space between the peak of his helmet and visor.
