Good response to foundation course for coaches

THE ONGOING foundation course for the newly appointed 102 coaches at LNIPE, Gwalior, has received a good response. The course, being organised by Sports and Youth Welfare Department, will come to an end on April 30.

THE ONGOING foundation course for the newly appointed 102 coaches at LNIPE, Gwalior, has received a good response. The course, being organised by Sports and Youth Welfare Department, will come to an end on April 30.

The course aims at providing first-hand experience to the newly appointed coaches. “We want to impart basics of coaching to the coaches so that they can give their best,” said Director Sports Sanjay Chaudhary. He expressed his satisfaction over the results of the course.

In the course, participants were taught theoretical and practical knowledge about their respective game. The participants also expressed their happiness over the foundation course. “Attending foundation course is a good experience,” said a participant.

Apart from discussions and lectures, the organisers provided participants an opportunity to air their problems in front of them. “Through this we would also come to know about their problems. It will help in redressal of problems in future,” said Chaudhary.

Bureaucrats, professionals, senior citizens have been invited by the Sports Department to share their experiences with the participants. Water sports centre in-charge Jalaj Chaturvedi, in his lecture, shed light on technical aspects of the coaching. NIS basketball coach Vikas Kharadkar, in his lecture, imparted basics to the participants. Sports Department Joint Director Dr Vinod Pradhan also addressed the participants.
