The factory at Sector 63 Block-D manufactures and exports brass items. Robbers struck on Friday night, held the guards captive and robbed goods worth Rs 6 lakh. The two guards were found unconscious in the morning.

Police said it was a case of theft and not robbery. They said involvement of a guard could not be ruled out. One of the three guards was missing.

Locks were not broken but opened with duplicate keys.

Around three ton of brass goods were stolen, which would have required the use of a vehicle, said a factory staff on condition of anonymity.

“A manhunt has been launched,” said DSP Shailender Lal.
