Google, today, has dedicated its doodle to Ella Fitzgerald on occasion of her 96th birthday. She made her singing debut when she was 17-years-old and has won 13 Grammy Awards. Here's to the Queen of Jazz!

Google, on Thursday dedicated its doodle to Ella Fitzgerald on occasion of her 96th birthday. She made her singing debut when she was 17-years-old and has won 13 Grammy Awards. Here's to the Queen of Jazz!

Ella Fitzgerald was also known as 'Queen of Jazz.'

She won 13 Grammy Awards and was awarded the National Medal of Arts by Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom by George HW Bush.

She made her singing debut at 17 in 1934.

She died in 1996 at the age of 79.

Over the course of her 59-year recording career, she sold 40 million copies of her 70-plus albums
