Bass has been acclaimed for his extraordinary opening sequences in cinema and his movie posters, reports The Independent.

The video doodle shows some of Bass's best works from his career spanning five decades. Having worked with prominent directors like Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Bass has designed title sequences for their movies like Vertigo (1958), Psycho (1960), Spartacus (1960), Good fellas (1990), Casino (1995), among others.

He died at the age of 75 in Los Angeles in the year 1996.

The doodle was launched on the day, which would have been Bass's 93rd birthday.
