In support of their demands to declare Japanese Encephalitis (JE) an epidemic in eastern UP, the Communist Party (ML) will take out a procession from Gorakhpur railway station and hold a public meeting at Townhall crossing on Tuesday.
The processionists will pass through important roads of the city.
State secretary of the party Akhilendra Pratap Singh and state secretary of Uttar Pradesh Khet Mazdoor Sabha Shriram Chaudhary, along with Yashwant Singh, will address the rally.
The CPI-ML activists allege that the inefficiency of the State Government in tackling the disease had been witnessed since the outbreak of encephalitis.
They claimed that the Mulayam Singh led state government had become insensitive to the issue of encephalitis.
Party leaders said that the reduction of budget of health and local bodies hds hampered the sanitation and health system in the state.
They said that even the Congress was not sincere in carrying out the aerial fogging to check the spread of disease.
Party leaders have also supported the ongoing agitation of municipal corporation employees and said state government should consider the demands of the employees.
