Addressing a public meeting in Silavati village in Guna district Scindia said the rise in murder, dacoity, abduction and other crimes in the State have created a feeling of insecurity in the minds of people and they are living in an atmosphere of fear. The tall claims of the government to check the menace have proved wrong, he said.

Scindia said he has urged the Prime Minister to provide sophisticated equipment, arms and helicopter to the State Government to enable them nab criminals. But, the police for reasons known to them are not asking for help despite repeated failures on many fronts, he regretted.

Refering to the power crisis issue especially in rural areas, Scindia said the BJP Government during the election had assured to resolve the crisis within three months. Now the government must answer the people as to why it has failed to resolve the problem even after three years, he added. In addition to this, the farmers were now facing problem of seeds and fertilizers, he added.
