Govt launches ‘WAR for water’

The Centre told the Supreme Court that it had launched a “War for Water” and had set up an expert panel to address the problem of water scarcity, reports Satya Prakash.

The Centre told the Supreme Court that it had launched a “War for Water” and had set up an expert panel to address the problem of water scarcity. “For achieving the objectives, a Technology Mission: Winning, Augmenta-tion and Renovation for Water (WAR for Water) has been formulated,” the Centre said in its response to SC’s April 28 order.
