The present managing committee of Hope-co society held a general body meeting on Sunday and the committee did not allow the aggrieved group of 45 to participate in it. Later, however, it agreed to enroll all 45 residents for membership.

“We hope the managing committee will allow us to participate in activities of the society in which all other residents, except the 45 of us, participate,” said Pramod Goyal, a member of the aggrieved group, adding, “After an hour-long discussion and two rounds of meetings following the general body meeting, the managing committee finally accepted our demands.” According to Goyal, the managing committee took two years to assure them of enrolment.

“We have held meetings with the 45 members and assured that they would be enrolled soon,” said Anjana Nagpal, member, managing committee.
