'Govt without BJP, Sonia'

Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swamy said a post-poll alliance, comprising parties other than the BJP and Sonia Gandhi, would form a ministry at the Centre.

Janata Party president Dr Subramanian Swamy said a post-poll alliance, comprising parties other than the BJP and Sonia Gandhi, would form a ministry at the Centre after May 13.

He told a press conference that the country would face a hung Parliament. Neither the BJP nor Sonia Gandhi would be able to form a ministry.

While there were many who deserved to occupy the post of Prime Minister, some had to be ruled out because of 'impossible-to-bridge' personal differences, he said, adding that the consensus candidate should be acceptable to Samajawadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav, BSP President Mayawati and RJD President Laloo Prasad Yadav, as these pareties would win more than 25 seats each.

The Prime Ministerial candidate could not be decided now and one had to wait till the election results were out on May 13, he added.
