NARI SARAKSHAN Grih will continue at its Prag Narain Road accommodation. The uncertainty came to an end when Woman Welfare Minister, Rajendra Singh Rana visited the residents personally and after assessing the situation announced that Nari Sarakshan Grih will not be shifted to Eldeco Udyan I, Sector II.

The uncertainty came to an end when Woman Welfare Minister, Rajendra Singh Rana visited the residents personally and after assessing the situation announced that Nari Sarakshan Grih will not be shifted to Eldeco Udyan I, Sector II.
There were widespread oppositions to the shifting of Nari Sarakshan Grih. Both the residents of Eldeco and the inmates of the protection house opposed to the shifting of Nari Sarakshan Grih from Prag Narain Road to Eldeco. The oppositions were very strong and the minister had to visit the residents of Eldeco colony. After listening to the problems and inhibitions of the residents, announced that the protection house will not be shifted till further notice is provided.
Nari Sarakshan Grih was given marching out orders by the government sometime in mid December, however due to strong oppositions it could not shift to Eldeco.
Around eleven thousand people of Eldeco colony opposed to the shifting of the protection house. Sandhya Singh, a resident of the colony said, “When we had purchased the houses in this colony we were told that this particular land was meant for primary school and will not be used for any other purpose. And now using it for other purposes will be wrong.”
“Such an institution should not be in the middle of a residential place, just like you cannot have a jail in the middle of a colony. It may have a negative impact on the young minds here,” said Santosh Nigam, resident of the colony.
Some of the stuff of the protection house had already been shifted to the Eldeco accommodation. Now on the orders of the minister the stuff will be shifted back to Prag Narain Road accommodation.
