Growth centres to be helpful, says DM

Addressing a workshop at CDO office to promote the agriculture units, said that these growth centres would be established within the circle of 8 km and the administration could play an important role to establish such centres.

Meanwhile, principal secretary, department of Small-scale Industries, Union Government Anupam Das Gupta, said that government was determined to provide all the assistance for the development of all small-scale industries. He was reviewing the implementation of various schemes for promotion of small-scale industries at Circuit House,He said that Purvanchal had an ample opportunity for small-scale industries.

He directed the subordinate officials to gain the faith of the people and promote new entrepreneurs. He reviewed the progress in Khadi and Village Industries and Prime Minister Rozgar Scheme and stressed the need for cooperation with banks to grant the loan.

Expressing his views, district magistrate Dr Hariom said with promotion of small-scale industries the people would be able to generate self-employment.
