Gujarat flood toll touches 94
The Army and Air Force have been pressed into rescue and relief work.
Heavy rains continued to paralyse life in parts of Gujarat with 94 people dead by Friday and nearly 200,000 evacuated from waterlogged areas.

The Army and Air Force were pressed into rescue and relief work as rail, road and air traffic remained disrupted across the state.
Revenue Minister Kaushik Patel told reporters in Gandhinagar that the state administration had initiated massive rescue and relief operations in the flood-affected areas.
"Vadodara, Khada and Anand districts are the worst affected where an average 15 inches of rainfall was received," Patel said. "The floods have left 94 people dead while more than 200,000 people have been rescued (since Saturday)."
The state government had arranged for 100,000 food packets and 150,00 water pouches to be distributed in the affected areas, he said.
Food packets and other relief materials were being collected in Ahmedabad to be sent to Vadodara, 110 km from here, where water-logging turned many localities into islands.
