Gujarat repolling ends; turnout 72 per cent

An estimated 72 per cent voting was registered during repolling in 15 booths of seven assembly constituencies in Gujarat on Saturday, according to state election department sources.

The re-polling concluded peacefully in all booths, where polling was marred on December 12 either by stray incidents of violence including damage of Electronic Voting Machines or technical snags, EC sources said.

Re-polling was held in six booths of Anand, three of Sojitra (ST), two in Borsad and one each of Dhrangadhra, Morbi, Dholka and Vagdod.
