Malini Ramani For this collection, Tropical-Disco of Love, I was inspired by marine life. So you see bold prints and bright colours. The collection consists of sexy mini skirts, bikinis, sunset cocktail dresses, tropical disco pant and neon kaftans in georgettes, knits, nets, chiffon and lycra twill. They are embellished with mirror work, patch work, sequins, Swarovski, block prints and appliqué.
J J Valaya My collection is divided into two themes. From Dawn to Decadence has designs in pastel hues and antique mukaish and fine threadwork on georgettes and organza. Uneven seams and multiple techniques are the hallmarks of this collection. The second Shamiana is a tribute to the craft of appliqué in voils and linens. Tarun Tahiliani I have used shocking colours. My designs have been draped in beautiful flowers, jewels, and clasped with exotic straps. Light chiffons and shades, chikankari curls and pearl drops are in abundance. Modern silhouettes highlight the curves of the feminine form in whites, jades and corals. Slinky dresses, T-shirts, and pants, must-haves of the ultra-chic girl are digitally printed with time-honoured images.
Surily Goel I have 'dressy prêt' for this season. The collection includes calf-length poncho dresses, draw string pants, resort wear, evening wear and an unusual new lot of printed muls and cottons embellished with zardozi, shells and coins. Skirts are calflengths, fabric is light-weight and colours are pinks, lemons and greens.
Ravi Bajaj My collections are clearly feminine in their appearance and feel. Generous layering in silk, chiffon and organza render a crafted, metallic look with an overall emphasis on soft silhouettes. Saris, layered pants, skirts, tunics, ponchos and fitting dresses form my collection.
Niki Mahajan My theme is feminity and romance. So you find chiffons, silks, georgettes, organza, hand-woven cottons and linen with embroidery and prints. Emphasis is on draping and styling. Colours range from citrus hues, whites, aqua, turquoise, coral, earth fern to the bright shades. Contrast shades have been used again.
