"This will strengthen people's faith in judiciary," Hazare told PTI.

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail application of Patil in connection with a complaint lodged against him by social activist Anna Hazare.

Patil had approached the apex after the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in the complaint filed against him by Hazare alleging that the leader had conspired to murder him.

Hazare had in September filed a complaint with the Parner police in Ahmednagar based on the confessional statement of Parasmal Jain, an accused in the murder case of Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar.
