HC posts hearing to Feb 11

The petition was filed by 18 telecom operators seeking to vacate the stay order restraining them to disseminate scores via SMS for ODI series.

Madras High Court posted on Saturday, the hearing on a petition seeking to vacate the stay order restraining 18 telecom operators from disseminating any information on scores, or other happenings via SMS on mobiles for the India- Pakistan ODI series.

When the petition filed by Bharti Tele-Ventures, BSNL, Reliance Infocomm, Hutchison and 14 others came up for hearing before Ms Justice R Bhanumathi, some advocates could not attend the hearing due to boycott. The court was also told the match will be played on Saturday.

Following this, the judge posted the hearing at 0900 hrs on the day of the Rawalpindi ODI.
