Normal life was disrupted in many places as traffic moved at a snail's pace due to heavy rainfall and fog.
Light showers broke the dry spell in the state on Thursday.
Farmers have heaved a sigh of relief and are hoping that the rainfall will continue for the next few days to put an end to the drought-like conditions in the state that had started to affect the crucial apple crop.
