CHOUHAN HAS directed officials to take public representatives into confidence while preparing developmental schemes. Addressing a meeting of administrative officials and MPs and MLAs of all the districts in Ujjain division here today, Chouhan said proposals put by public representatives should not be ignored as people have many expectations from them.

The meeting was first in the series undertaken by the CM to review developmental progress at each division. Chief
Secretary Vijay Singh was also present on the occasion.

He said issue of water should be tackled on war footing in view of impending summer season and no one should be kept thirsty. Funds would not be a constraint in tackling water crisis and water could be transported in case of need, he assured. He also exhorted officials to solve problems on lower level so that people could be saved from facing inconvenience.

Although the CM expressed satisfaction over peaceful law and order situation in the division, he felt that roadside dhabas should be kept under watch so that no terrorist or antisocials could receive shelter there. Several MLAs complained of substandard construction of roads under the Prime Minister Rural Road scheme.

State Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Himmat Kothari, Tukojirao Puar, Jagdish Devra and MPs Satyanarayan Jatia and Thawarchand Gehlot were among those who attended the meeting.
