Hilary Duff blasts unhealthy dieting

The Hollywood actor says she will never adopt a strict diet to lose weight, although her work requires young women to shed weight.

Criticising stick thin women who resort to unhealthy dieting in order to look good, 18-year-old Hollywood actress Hilary Duff has said that she will never adopt a strict diet to lose weight.

She admitted that though the business puts huge pressure on young girls to shed weight, but has refused to give up her healthy lifestyle.

"There is definitely pressure. People are thin. I do worry about what I look like but I'm not going to let it control my life. "I do try and eat healthily and exercise. Not because I have to, but because I want to do it for me,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"I think some of the crazy diets that people try are really bad. There are ones where people eat six sultanas a day,” she added.

Duff further said instead of adopting a strict diet, one should try and eat healthy food in moderation.

"The Atkins is wrong too. I don't think it's good to deprive your body of things like carbohydrates. Everyone should eat things in moderation," she said.
