Parnika Agarwal, who topped in Sir Padampat Singhania Educational Centre, received 93 marks in English while she got 94 marks in Hindi. Another topper Natash Agarwal got 87 in English and 93 marks in Hindi.
Similarly, many of the CBSE students got over 90 in Hindi as compared to marks in eighties in English and mathematics. Gunja Sharda, a student of Subhash Public Senior school, got record 97 marks in Hindi.
According to school sources, the change in the syllabus of Hindi and tips for teaching Hindi has helped the students to secure good marks.
They said that the changes in the syllabus have made the subject very interesting for the students. Earlier students who used to be afraid of Hindi, were now happy to opt for it and study with devotion.
According to the principal of the Poorna Chand Vidya Niketan, Bhaskar Goantey, the changes made in Hindi syllabus during the past two years proved to be a boon for the students. He said more such positive changes in the syllabus would popularise the subject.
