Hispania unveil first pictures of F111

Hispania Racing, who have on board India's Narain Karthikeyan as one of their drivers, on Tuesday unveiled the first look at their car for the 2011 season - the F111. HT reports.

Hispania Racing, who have on board India's Narain Karthikeyan as one of their drivers, on Tuesday unveiled the first look at their car for the 2011 season - the F111.

The F111 was developed under the technical leadership of ex-Williams and Red Bull technical director Geoff Willis and chief designer Paul White.

HRT president Jose Ramon Carabante stated the team expects to improve on its debut campaign, "Despite a challenging first year, we managed to finish 11th in the constructors' championship. Now, we are very pleased to introduce the first spec of the F111, which means a huge design-effort from our side."

HRT team principal Colin Kolles said, "The F111 represents a significant step forward for HRT." The former Jordan F1 team principal said "the F111 would incorporate the adjustable rear wing", which has been given an optional status by the FIA this season.
