The National Horticulture Mission has been allocated Rs 630 crore in the Budget proposal for 2005-6, Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Monday announced.

The mission would ensure an end-to-end approach having backward and forward linkages covering research, production, post-harvest management, processing and marketing under one umbrella, in an integrated manner.
The Minister said more funds would be provided as the Mission gathered pace.
