The Hindi film industry is getting ready to make an impact at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, next month. Participating in the closing ceremony at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds on March 26 when the Commonwealth torch will be handed over for the next games, will be some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Saif Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Lara Dutta, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghosal.

Wizcraft, has been roped in to produce and direct the 11-minute cultural programme, which will take place simultaneously with the hand-over ceremony. Said Ankur from Wizcraft, "There's no similarity with performances by the stars at other shows. The acts are primarily theme-based, apt for an event of such magnitude. Songs have been specially written and composed for the performances. Percussionists Taufiq Qureshi and Sivamani are also participating." Danseuse and actress Isha Sharvani will also be performing at the event.
