Hewlett-Packard (HP) unveiled an array of Android OS-based notebooks and PCs as the tech products maker seeks to beef up its computing products offerings. HP’s offer of Android-based mobility products marks its tacit acceptance of the popularity of Google’s operating system.

HP has traditionally offered PCs and notebooks on the Windows platform. “We wish to offer products across ecosystems for consumers to choose from,” said Raj Kumar Rishi, senior director for HP’s printing and personal systems.
The products launched included HP SlateBook X2, priced at R39,990 and HP Slate 21 All-in-One PC for R24,990.
